Is George W. Bush really trying to spread “democracy” around the world, or is that the last thing he wants?

Question by Outspoken: Is George W. Bush really trying to spread “democracy” around the world, or is that the last thing he wants?
It seems that everything Bush claims to represent is in fact the opposite, and every bad thing he accuses other countries of doing is precisely what he’s doing – such as, threatening to NUKE IRAN for their wanting to build a nuke, while buddying with Israel, which DOES HAVE NUKES! Or accusing others of having and using weapons of mass destruction, when it is we – as in the movie Terminator – that have the weapons of mass destuction and use them at will without shame or apology.

If this is democracy… someone get me the hell out of here!

Q&A: Why do “republicans” in the U.S. attempt to build “democracy” around the world?

Question by Hatch0301: Why do “republicans” in the U.S. attempt to build “democracy” around the world?
I already know the answer… but it’s still fun to talk about…

Our country is a hybrid of the two systems… being that we vote for our representatives and then our representatives vote for us…

Also, when it comes to party affiliations, the terms “republican” and “democrat” have nothing to do with their way of governing.
