Question by A Totally Awesome South Indian: How can India call itself the “world’s largest democracy” when it has so many flaws?
It bans homosexuals from getting married.
Homosexuals there have no rights and are severely discriminated against..at least in america and western europe, homosexuals are getting more and more rights and are getting more protection against discrimination
It imposes a fine or three months in jail for kissing in public even if you are kissing your wife…wow…just wow. and this is the land of the kama sutra on top of that lol

A flawed DEMOCRACY is a DEMOCRACY. See how I capitalized those words for you?

Democracy has been called tyranny of the masses. If the masses hate homosexuals, then the homosexuals are tyrannized by the democracy, but it remains a democracy.
